From October 1st-October 8th, I will be WWOOFing at Baan Sai Roong AKA The Rainbow Community, which is a small community on a mountain in Chaiyaphum (northeast Thailand). The community spend their time working on projects geared toward self-sustainability. For one week, I will live and work with a family of four, helping them in their organic garden and teaching their children (ages 3 and 6) English. Currently their focal project is teaching poor villagers how to build themselves mud houses. I will be able to participate in learning how to build these sustainable houses and will be staying in one myself! In our free time we will be practicing the sacred art of Buddhist meditation.
