Hi, I’m Josalin! Thanks for stopping by my site. I’m a travel writer and essayist originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where I received my B.A. in Journalism. I’ve also worked in Thailand and the Czech Republic teaching English as a second language. Currently based in Wellington, New Zealand, I now work as a freelance writer and web content editor for a travel media company. I’m always looking for new opportunities to expand my skill set and apply myself creatively.
On the homepage, you’ll find the latest updates from my blog, Joc Cousteau. The name comes from a combination of my nickname (Joc) and the famous explorer Jacques Cousteau, as I feel like I’m on an endless (slow) journey to explore new places and cultures. To have a look at my published writing, visit my portfolio page. For my latest resume/CV, click here. If you’d like to work with me or just have a question or comment, contact me here. I’d love to get in touch!
“It takes generosity to discover the whole through others. If you realize you are only a violin, you can open yourself up to the world by playing your role in the concert.”
